In conversations with colleagues, we're often asked: what are the main books and articles about hype? Who is working on it now? Who was there before you, which disciplines are involved?
Over the past several months, we have been trawling through reference lists, social media posts and conference agendas to record both classics and recent findings on all things hypes, promises, expectations, visions and several other relevant terms. Over 20 researchers so far contributed to this project and today we'll excited to share with you our updated 'Resources' page! Our living library contains 164 resources and we can only anticipate this figure to grow.
We hope it will become a useful point of reference to all readers keen to orient themselves in the field. Whether you're a lecturer looking for teaching materials or a journalist scoping an expert for your interview, this page will be recording and archiving the shifting landscape of Hype Studies.
Please get in touch if you'd like to add a resource to this list!
