We are very excited to have received so many excellent and diverse contributions to our first Hype Studies conference, '(Don't) believe the hype !?'

Over 100 researchers, activists, technologists and artists submitted their thought-provoking proposals for our upcoming event in September. Conference participants will have a chance to learn about critical analyses of AI, venture capitalism, quantum technologies, green energy fuels and many other topics. Aside from the packed programme of talks, we'll be offering workshops (on 'shitpublishing!' AI metaphors! Hype mapping!), an art exhibition (anyone interested in saliva and Pavlov's dog?) and film screening. And of course, in the spirit of community building, we'll host a party during La Diada, or the National Day of Catalonia. Let the countdown begin!
